This Hardy water lily has free flowering peachy/orange petals with mottled in burgundy, maturing to green leaves. Later into the summer part of the season it may even bloom more of a salmon color It is described as a very good bloomer. Often the first to start blooming in the spring and the last one blooming in the fall.
If you are looking for an aquatic pond plant that can take both full sun and more of a shaded area this hardy water lily will do very nicely.
One of Kirk Strawns (1994) more classic hybrids, this medium flower stands 3-4″ above the surface of the water.
As with most Hardy water lilies this one can handle a hard winter. It is considered a perennial in all states. This water lily is a cross between a Mexicana and Louise Villemarette.
