This hardy water lily was named Best New Waterlily for 2010, beating out 30 other entrants in the competition sponsored by the International Waterlily (IWGS) and Water Gardening Society (IWGS). Comanche is the largest and the showiest of the orange "changeable" hardy water lilies. Blossom opens yellow and turns to a more coppery bronze. Newest leaves are bronzy with a red flecked purple underside.  Flower is cup-like then star-like. Very pleasant fragrance.
