Mrs. Slocum is a large-sized variety of Lotus Plants it has 70~100 petals and a flower diameter of  11-12″ .  Developed through crossbreeding between the water chinquapin and the Chinese red-colored, double-flowered variety, this is the only yellow-red-type lotus of the double-flowered variety. The color is a gradation of pale yellow which ends in rose-pink tips. The red color fades quickly and on the third day after bloom the flower is mostly pale yellow. The flowering season is from late-June to late-August.  Flower production is good. The lengths of the leaf and flower stems are 2-3 feet .  The leaf is about 20″ The name comes from the fact that the crossbreeding took place at the  Slocum Water Gardens in the U.S.

Since Lotus are very rugged pond plants  they are always a good choice for ponds that have large Koi.  Lotus along with bog plants like Pickeral rush or Iris will add just the right touch for an elegant water garden.

You will find this a stunning specimen for any large pond.

      Hi we do not have it right now as we are already pretty far into the season but we do have many nice varieties still to choose from. Far to many to name. And they sell every day. So hard to say exactly at this moment. Best to come check it out. We will be bringing our last batch in about ten days. But we still have about 40 to choose from now
