When does the Juno Night Bloom?

Juno night blooming water lily blooms from 5 pm to 10 am from June until Nov in most western states like California.

This particular night bloomer is a Juno. It is a stunning white mutli petaled flower with yellow center. The flowers open very wide and are almost flat.  The flower holds well above the water surface. Nymphaea dentata superba better known as  Juno was introduced in 1906 and has been an outstanding variety for decades!

Night blooming tropical water lilies are excellent bloomers often with many flowers pushing through at one time. It is really the most perfect modern flower developed by cultivation from the sacred Lotus of Egyptian tradition. Flowers sometimes measuring  8 to 12 inches across are produced most freely throughout the summer into late fall.

Night blooming tropicals are a great addition to your Koi pond or water garden. You will enjoy seeing them open in the evening as you enjoy a glass of wine by the pond.
